Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The original watercolor and ink of the welcome sign at Marine Corps Recruiting Depot Parris Island in South Carolina, was completed in 2015 and was done originally as a 7.5" x 9.5" piece.
